28 year old allegedly killed by friend for ritual in Ifon

A 28 year old man whose name was given as Kazeem Laisi was on Friday, allegedly murdered by his friend,
Ibrahim in Ifon, headquarters of Orolu Local Government Area of Osun State, after he went out with him.
Kazeem's dead body according to a security source was found in a river (Owala) on Saturday, after his parents reported him missing.
According to the source, Ibrahim picked up the late Kazeem at his parents' house in Ifon but the latter did not return.
The source said Kazeem's boxer was found with blood by the river bank, adding that a sponge and soap were also seen at the location.
He said: "Around 9:00 am, the child's parent came to report in our office that they are looking for the boy.
"They told us his friend, Ibrahim came to pick him up at home yesterday but he didn't return home since then. They said they first thought maybe he was inside praying but when they checked, he was not there.
"They said they only saw his phone and the luggage he wanted to travel with inside.
"The parent told us they called the number of his friend who came to pick him and he told them he was already in Benin and that's why they came to report to us.
"I asked if they had reported in the station and they said yes. I told them we will also work on the matter.
"We went to the station for another case yesterday, on getting back to my office, Kozeem's parents rush to my office to tell me that someone saw him near a river with blood and his boxer.
"We went there with his people and the police later came to meet us. When we got there, we saw blood and his boxer.
"We started tracing the footpath and later saw his dead body inside the river. A big tree prevented him from floating away.
"We evacuated him and took him to the police station, when we got there, a report was written and the corps was taken to the mortuary.
"The friend is on the run now and we are on the lookout for him. We saw Sponge and soap where his boxer was. It seems after killing him, they dragged and throw him into the river".
Police Public Relations Officer, Osun Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incident to newsmen.
