Breaking: Kidnapped Osun housewife, child regain freedom


A member of Union Baptist Church, Odi-Olowo, Osogbo, Mrs. Olayinka Kayode, kidnapped alongside her child on Tuesday in Osogbo has regained freedom.

This was contained in a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Church, Mr. Oluwamayowa Fagbohungbe and made available to newsmen in Osogbo. 

It will be recalled that Mrs. Tosin Kayode and her child were kidnapped by unknown gunmen around Otaefun/Kobongboe area of Osogbo while returning home from her shop around 6 PM on Tuesday 24th January, 2023.

The church appreciated Almighty God, the security agencies, distinguished members of the press, Union Baptist Church Osogbo family, and the general public for their prayers, show of concern and camaraderie received.

"On behalf of the family of Engr. Abayomi Kayode and the entire Union Baptist Church Osogbo family, I express my profound appreciation to first to the Almighty God for answering our prayers, our gallantry security agencies, distinguished members of the press, Osun Baptist Conference President, Rev. Dr. Paul Kolawole, the entire Christian Community and all and sundry for their prayers and most particularly for standing by us during the period.

"May the Almighty God rid our dear nation of all forms of criminality and insecurity."
