Police launch manhunt for Igboho's aid
Nigeria Police Force has launched a manhunt for one Atoyebi Wasiu Bukola (28 years), for his role in the Yoruba Nation Struggle.
Bukola, according to the police was a personal assistant to Kazeem Raji, an associate of Yoruba Nation campaigner, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho.
Raji was among the twelve aids of Igboho who were arrested when the Department of State Services raided the Ibadan residence of the Yoruba rights activist on July 1st, 2021.
Two of Igboho's guards were also reported killed during the raid when they engaged the DSS in a gun duel.
A police source who does not want his name in print because he was not authorised to speak on the issue confirmed the development to Osun Daily.
According to the source, "it is true that the Nigeria Police Force has declared a 28-year-old man, Atoyebi Wasiu Bukola wanted for his role in the Yoruba Nation agitation.
"The wanted man is a personal assistant to one of the aids of Sunday Igboho who is regarded as the arrowhead of the agitation.
"The police are doing everything to ensure the man is arrested and prosecuted", the source said.
