3 remanded for allegedly causing murder, cultism

Magistrate Risikat Olayemi of the Osun state Chief magistrates court sitting in Osogbo has ordered that three suspects be remanded at the  Ilesa correctional centre for causing murder as well as belonging to a cult group.

The three accuse persons, Abidemi Raphael, 35, Omotosho Sunday 21, Fatai Adeyemi 35, were earlier arraigned with 21 others for causing breach of peace and  cultism in June 2019.

In a separate charge the three accuse persons were arraigned for causing breach of peace and murder.

The  Magistrate granted them bail on the "cause of breach charge", while she transferred the murder charge to high court, because she doesn't have the power to grant them bail on that.

Meanwhile, Abidemi, Omotosho and Fatai were discharged after being arraigned for murder at the high court. They did not perfect the bail conditions on their first charge at the Chief Magistrate court and were not in imprison.

The Chief Magistrate, asked the prosecutor Idoko Jane about the situation, Idoko stated that "they were only discharged at the high court but they have not perfect their bail here".

The accuse persons were legally represented by Adebola G.G.

In her ruling, Chief Magistrate Olayemi ordered that the 3 persons be remanded in Ilesha correctional centre, and they can be released if their bail were later perfected  and she adjourned the case to the 19th of December, 2019 for hearing.
