Osun to expose workers to training for capacity building

Osun state government has promised to expose workers in its fold to enhanced training to build their capacity for service delivery.
Speaking at the opening session of a 3-day workshop for senior staffers at local government level, the chairman, Osun Local Goverment Service Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji, reiterated the commitment of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola-led administration to training of workers in order to broaden their skills.
Speaking on the theme of the workshop tagged, "Capacity Building Workshop for Efficient and Effective Administration for Heads of Administration and Finance in the Local Government Councils," Adedeji noted that the training would widen knowledge of the workers on issues relating discipline, work ethics, as well as rules and regulations, as well as, regulations guiding day to day conduct of public officers.
He maintained that management staff must possess relevant skills in handling matters relating to finance and internal control to assist them in proper utilization of government resources.
He then advised the participants to imbibe good leadership qualities and inculcate the principles of time management while discharging their duties.
Speaking earlier, the managing consultant of Stephen Jolaolu Global Consult, Mr Oluwole Fajuyitan, explained that duties of Heads of Administration and Finance in the Local Government Councils, require them to be concise, accurate and prompt in decision making, saying their ability to make right decision will go a long way in assisting the less priviledged ti enjoy dividend of democracy.
