PDP will contest Oyo Central Senatorial result, says Makinde, lauds Ajimobi's loss at poll

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), Engineer Sheyi Makinde has vowed that  that his party will challenge the outcome of Oyo Central Senatorial Election held on Saturday.

Addressing Journalists in Ibadan, Makinde also declared that the outcome of Ibarapa North and Ibarapa Central federal constituency in which he alleged PDP candidate won but was declared inconclusive will be pursued legally.

He described as historic the defeat suffered by Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State in his bid to become a Senator for Oyo South Senatorial District.

Engineer Makinde stated this on Monday while addressing journalists at his campaign office,Best Way, Iwo Road,Ibadan.

Makinde said, "Despite intimidation, naked use of Executive power and obscene deployment of billions of government money, our people decided to stay on the path of honour."

While thanking the people of Oyo State for their bravery, Seyi Makinde enjoined them to replicate the same gesture during gubernatorial election.
