Two arraigned for allegedly
killing pregnant woman in Osun

A middle aged man , Fatai Adegoke , and a 29 year old woman, Khadijah Adeleke, have been arraigned before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates ’ Court for allegedly killing a pregnant woman.
The accused were on Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate M . A. Awodele , but their plea was not taken .
It was gathered that the suspects allegedly killed one Risikat Adegoke on Saturday, October 27 , 2018 , thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 324 of the Criminal Code .
According to the charge sheet, as a result of the attack , Risikat died on November 15 , 2018 , around 6 . 30 pm.
It was also stated that the suspects , by their actions , prevented Risikat from being delivered of her seven - month -old pregnancy , thereby committing an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 328 , Criminal Code Law of Osun State of Nigeria , 2003 .
Magistrate Awodele ruled that the case should be transferred to the Federal High Court for mention on February 10 , 2019 .
She also told the police to duplicate the case file and send a copy to the office of the state’s Director of Public Prosecutions for advice .
