Oyo HoS charges Secretarial assistants on professionalism

The Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs.Olawumi Ogunesan has tasked Secretarial Assistants in the Civil Service of Oyo State to put apply professional expertise in their practices and apply vital skills of office practice and computer operating skills to enhance quality service delivery in their various places of work.
Mrs Ogunesan gave the charge at the closing ceremony of a six month mandatory career advancement programme for Secretarial Assistants, organized by the Simeon Adebo Staff Development Center, held at the Conference Hall of the Centre, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The Hos was represented by the Director Pension and Post Service, Office of Head of Service,Mr.AdekunleAdesola noted that the State Government will continually support all workers in their quest to upgrade themselves, by allowing them to participate in various capacity building Programmes that will make them more productive.
She hinted that the Ajimobi led administration is committed to the welfare of Civil Servants through the payment of worker’s salaries, introduction of Health Insurance Scheme and the issuance of promotion letters for Year 2012 to 2016 affected workers in various levels and cadres.
Mrs. Ogunesan,further admonished the graduands to be good ambassadors of the centre at all times and maintain good interpersonal relationship both in and outside their offices or places of work.
Speaking earlier, the Director Management, Secretarial, Computer and Business Studies, Simeon Adebo Staff Development Center,Mrs Stella Okedum stated that the programme was designed to improve the Secretarial Assistants in the State and make them more productive in their duty posts, while urging them to use the skills, knowledge acquired effectively in their various offices.
Speaking on behalf of the Graduands, Mr.Oyeniyi Benson thanked Oyo Stare Government for breaking the long –overdue stagnation of their cadre and also upgrading and elongating the terminal point of the cadre’s Salary Structure from Grade level 09 to 12.
