A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Osun State, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi has inaugurated 301 persons across Iwo Federal Constituency of the state to galvanise support for the party and her governorship candidate, senator Ademola Adeleke.

According to a statement signed and made available to pressmen by Ismail Afolabi, the Press Secretary to Dr. Ogunbiyi, the individuals were drawn from each polling unit across Ayedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa local government areas of the Federal Constituency and inaugurated on Thursday.

Addressing the team, Ogunbiyi emphasised that Iwo and environs were underdeveloped and that the quest to guarantee better future for the communities and the state at large remain unnegotiable.

He added, "it is true that we want Iwo man to be the next governnor of our state. But today, less than 50 hours to the election, it is clear that there are two parties in the race. And Iwo indigene is not in either of the parties."

"As a matter of fact, I don't know about the second party but I know that PDP, our party is in the race. I beg you in the name of God and our ancestors, don't waste your votes."

"Vote for PDP. Talk to your family, friends and associates to support PDP and our candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke. If we don't forget the past, we cannot move forward. Bury the past in the threshold of history."

"The task before us now is to secure victory for our party and urge people of Osun State to vote for our party to guarantee better future for the state and our communities" Ogunbiyi told the team, imploring the people of the constituency to troop out in large number on Saturday to vote for PDP.
