Osun 2018: Chieftain wants INEC to transmit result electronically from polling units

To ensure a hitch-free and transparent  excercise, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Mr. Funsho Babarinde, has told the Independent National Electoral Commission to immediately transmit collated results by electoral officers attached polling units to the central collations center at the state and national headquarter of the commission.

He said experience in Ondo and Ekiti have shown some non compliance with the provision of the electoral laws, saying all flaws in the Ekiti poll, should be improved upon.

"Osun should be used as a classical  example of free, fair and credible that will dovetailed into 2019 general elections," Babarinde said.

The former Executive Assistant to the Osun state governor, who urged security agencies to be professional in their duties by been non partisan, while vote buying at polling units should be totally discouraged, said the attention of the global community is on the country.

Babarinde further noted: "Like other well-wishers, I am  looking forward to a successful and violent free election. I urge Osun people to please vote consciously."
